Dr. Aamod Shirali

Assistant Professor

Dr. Aamod Shirali, completed his LL.M (Intellectual Property Rights), Goa University in the year 2007. He secured second rank at the Goa University and stood first in V.M. Salgaocar College of Law, in the LL.B ( 3 Year Course) Examination conducted by Goa University in the year 2005. He also graduated in Commerce (2002) and also qualified the examination of Executive Programme of Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

He was awarded the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Law in June 2021, on the topic ‘A Critical Study of Impact of Hostile Witness on Administration of criminal justice system in India- With Special Reference to the State of Goa.’

He has been associated with the College since the year 2008, and teaches undergraduate and Post Graduate courses. He has also been a Resource Person at The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (Goa Chapter) and a Visiting faculty for Business Law and Journalism and Mass Communication in other Colleges. He has also been invited as resource person at various Public and Government Institutions for training.

In the capacity of Associate Director he has coordinated activities of the Legal Aid Society, and has been instrumental in constituting the International Law Society, to foster and complement the interest of all the students. In the capacity of Director of Moot Court Society, he has encouraged and mentored students to participate National Moot Court Competitions.

Beside academic interest, he is a passionate open water swimmer and has participated in numerous Open Sea Water Swimathons comprising of distances 10 kms, 5 kms, 3 kms, 2 kms, He has also participated and won award in Masters Pool Swimming Competitions.
