Over the course of my studies, I have actively participated in numerous activities, including moot courts, where I have competed in national-level competitions, reaching the semi-finals in one and being adjudged the runners up in another. I have also taken part in various ADR competitions. This year, as the student-in-charge of the Consumer Rights Clinic, we have conducted several activities, with the highlight being our much appreciated mock trial. We are also planning an ad-making competition along with many other exciting activities.

VMS has been pivotal in balancing my law studies with my achievements as Goa’s representative at the National Championships. Excelling in Powerlifting, Judo, and Weightlifting alongside winning national-level debates and MUNs has sharpened my discipline and focus. My journey took me to national and international platforms, where I proudly represented the college and secured the 2nd runner-up spot at an international mediation competition in Malaysia. These experiences, alongside talented peers, fueled my passion for advocacy and collaboration, shaping me into a more dynamic legal professional.

I had the privilege of participating in two National Moot Competitions, where our team emerged as winners and Semi-finalists in the other. I also secured the Best Researcher Award at one of the Competitions. Besides academics, the college has provided me with amazing platforms to showcase my talents in painting and essay writing as well as social service as a member of the NSS Unit and the Centre for Rights of Older Persons (CROP) of the college.

The lessons I learned went far beyond textbooks. The rigorous academic environment combined with practical exposure is what makes it even more interesting. The classroom discussions, often enriched by diverse viewpoints, honed my ability to engage in debates and articulate my perspective effectively. Participating in various National Moot Court Competitions, ADR competitions - it was the sense of accomplishment that came from pushing my limits, embracing challenges, and constantly striving to improve. I have deep gratitude towards the faculty for their guidance whenever I needed it. I have been a part of the Legal Aid Cell and the Consumer Rights Clinic, and the activities there have aided me in inculcating certain skills. Being a part of V.M. Salgaocar College of Law has given me immense academic progression and skill development opportunities. I had participated in national moot court competitions, and my team had been the runner-up in one of them. Being an intern for all three phases of Project POSH, I learned the practical aspects of the law and was invited to lecture at Padre Conceicao College of Engineering. I am happy to have been awarded the title of Best NSS Volunteer.

Throughout my academic journey at VMSCL, I've participated in several national-level Moot Court and ADR competitions that have provided me with a platform to hone my advocacy skills. Beyond academics, I was elected to the College Council and was elected the Press Secretary for the Centre for Political Leadership (CPL). I have also conceptualised and launched the CRC-Kidvocates: Law Magazine for Children and serve as its present Editor-in-Chief and Graphic Designer. The aim of this magazine is to help educate children about their rights and the Laws that affect the world around them.

The Child Rights Clinic of V.M. Salgaocar College of Law was instrumental in shaping me through a three-year journey into a person who is now much more sensitized to the law and protection of children. The Comparative Clinical Legal Program of the Clinic gave us a chance to visit the University of New South Wales, Australia, and learn about their clinics and system of law. I feel a deep sense of gratitude to my Professors and to the Clinic for this wonderful experience which I will cherish for years to come.

Being a member of the V M Salgaocar College of Law, ADR board has been an experience like no other. The college has presented us with a unique opportunity to explore our capabilities and push our limits. Being able to represent our talents on the National and International levels is truly a blessing.

I have been very fortunate to be a part of the ADR board for all of the 3 years that I have been in this college. The ADR board has given me the best academic and personal experiences in life. Right from participating in the ICC Paris Competition to Winning the CDRC Vienna competition, has indeed changed my life. It gives me immense pleasure to say that our ADR board is proudly amongst some of the best in the country.

V.M. Salgaocar College of Law is one such institution where apart from the traditional theory-based curriculum, it offers a diverse range of opportunities to students, such as the Moot Court Society, the ADR Board, the Child Rights Clinic, the Consumer Clinic, and Legal Aid cells- which help them understand and put to use the theory they learn. Having been a member of most of these, I can attest to their effectiveness- is it in terms of the exposure, the real-world knowledge, and the fun memories with the people I’ve participated with.
