Literary Club

The Literary Club at V.M. Salgaocar College of Law is a vibrant space where students can explore and express their creative, analytical, and critical engagement with literature and the arts. The club encourages students to explore a variety of literary traditions and encourages a love of reading, from comic books to classic and modern works. The club aims to promote critical thinking, celebrate the power of words in the legal academic community, and encourage literary appreciation through well-planned events, stimulating conversations, and various competitions.

Objectives

  1. Encourage Literary Engagement: By providing an environment where students can read, evaluate, and discuss various literary works, we hope to foster a profound respect for literature in all its forms, including novels, plays, poetry, and graphic novels.
  2. Encourage Creative Expression: To allow students to demonstrate their artistic and writing abilities through events like creative storytelling sessions, poster-making competitions, and essay contests.
  3. Develop Critical Thinking: To encourage students to link literature and the law by cultivating the analytical and critical thinking abilities necessary for literary analysis and legal studies.
  4. Develop Your Presentation and Public Speaking Skills: provide forums for debates, recitations, and oral readings of literary works so that students can gain confidence and improve their presentation abilities.
