Dr. Gomati Desai Onsker

Assistant Professor

She is an Assistant Professor in V.M. Salgaocar College of Law having 10 years of teaching experience. She started her teaching career in the year 2005 from G. R. Kare College of Law, Margao and she is member of the faculty of V. M. Salgaocar College of Law since 2008. She was also a visiting faculty for Diploma in Labour Law and Labour Welfare, CS – Foundation and CS Executive Programme.

After having graduated in Chemistry from Chowgule College, Margao, she completed her LL.B from G.R. Kare College of Law and LL.M from V.M. Salgaocar College of Law with Specialization in Human Rights. She has also done her Diploma in Civil Law from University of Lisbon. Presently she is pursuing her Ph.D. at the V.M. Salgaocar Research Centre, Miramar.

She has various research publications to her credit in various National and International Journals and magazines.

She has been the resource persons at the various seminars and workshops including “Career Options in the Legal Field” for Career Fair 2014 organized by Goa Education Development Corporation. She has also been recognized as special professional for teaching ADR skills and ethics in 2014.

She teaches courses on Company Law, Human Rights, Family Law, CPC, Labour Law, Women and Law, IPC, Arbitration and Conciliation, Law of Torts. Her research interest includes Personal Law and Human Rights of a Child.

She has been actively involved in myriad activities of the college in various capacities like Coordinator of Legal Aid Society, Moot Court Society and has contributed in organizing various activities including Seminars, Workshops and other academic events at the institution.
