Library Infrastructure

The library is nestled on three levels ad-measuring a total built up area of around 2500 sq. mts.

The Basement houses bound journal and periodical section along with dissertation, LL.M and General knowledge sections.

The ground floor consist of the circulation counter, librarians office, moot court room, processing room, newspaper stands, current periodicals section and photocopy counter.

The first floor encompasses LL.B Reference and text book section along with plethora of dictionaries and encyclopedias.

The second floor exclusively maintains the books gifted to the library and a section exclusively dedicated to the legal aid and clinical legal aid reference books.

There are separate reading cubicles that can also be availed by the students.

Floor Plan

Ground Floor: Total Built-up Area: 1029.53 sq. ft. It has a basement area where the LLM books, bound periodicals and dissertations are stacked. The circulation counter, Librarian’s room, moot court room, and processing room are located on the ground floor. The left-hand side of the floor with carrels is reserved only for ladies and the right hand side for gents for their reference work. There is also a general reading room, including a journal section and a newspaper reading section.

First Floor: Total Built-Up Area: 877.95  sq.ft. The Books belonging to the 3-year LL.B. Degree and the 5-year B. A. LL.B. Degree are kept on the first floor, as on the Ground floor, on either side of the stacking area, reading area is allotted for students. In the stack, books on all related subjects, including non-law books, are available for the use of students.

Second Floor: Total Built Up Area: 536.41 sq. ft. This section is to be developed. At present, in the stacking area, gifts books and periodicals are kept. Provision is made for teachers’ cubicles for their research and study.
