Advanced Diploma in Civil Law

In Europe, Civil law shares an almost equal platform with common law. The objective of the Civil law programme is to expose the students to ideas of western jurisprudence that are in variance with common law, and to initiate them into comparative jurisprudence to understand ‘the other law’ and to develop a special insight into ‘their own law’.

V.M. Salgaocar College of Law in Association with Faculty of Law University of Lisbon conducts the Month Long Course leading to “ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN CIVIL LAW”.

A team of half a dozen senior faculties from Lisbon University reputed for their work in Europe visit the college to deliver the lectures on Civil Law Traditions, as well as on emerging trends in European Law. The lectures are supplemented by interaction, which is useful for students interested in pursuing with the legal education abroad. They also answer queries on career and academic opportunities in law in the European continent. The College has signed MOU with the Lisbon University for this purpose.

A Certificate is issued to the candidates.

Diploma in Civil Conducted in Association with Faculdade De Direito University of Lisbon conducted The Civil Law Program in the virtual mode for seven weeks. The Director of the Program was Dr. Ranjana Ferrao.
