Entrepreneurship Development 

Online Certificate Course organized by Economics and Innovation Forum of the College Course Coordinator and Faculty In-charge of Economics and Innovations Forum: Danica Menezes, Assistant Professor.

The Economics and Innovations Forum of V.M. Salgaocar College of Law took an initiative to organize an online Certificate course in ‘Entrepreneurship Development,’ during the academic year 2020-21. The course is of 30 hours duration which makes up for two Credits.

The certificate course was open to all students from V. M. Salgaocar College of Law and others. As the number of students registered was 70 they were divided into two separate batches with different dates. Hence, the one-month certificate course was set for the duration of 18/05/2021 to 19/06/2021 for batch one of students and 22/05/2021 to 26/06/2021 for batch two of students.

The objective of floating this certificate course for the students of law, in particular, is to help them get an understanding of entrepreneurial skills and the process of startups which is now going to be the probable future of students. The certificate course targets the basic topics of entrepreneurship development and also aims at giving students a practical understanding of how a business idea can be put into practice.

The students also got an opportunity to interact with Entrepreneurs who have established themselves in business. Students are made aware of the practical difficulties that arise during the process of setting up the business and how one should deal with these difficulties. The Certificate Course concluded with a Course End Examination in which students had to present their Business Plan, projecting their business ideas. The course coordinator was Assistant Professor Danica Menezes and Co-coordinator was Adv. Shalini Menezes respectively.
