Write Better, Speak Better

‘Write Better, Speak Better’ is a one-week certificate course designed to teach basic spoken and written English skills for the Multi-tasking Staff (MTS) of the college to improve their professional and personal communication. The course was conducted from 3rd – 9th July 2021.

The course objectives are as follows:

  1. To teach basic grammar used in spoken and written English
  2. To teach techniques that help improve vocabulary
  3. To boost their confidence in professional and personal communication spaces and facilitate an easy flow of speech
  4. To encourage creativity through the use of language
  5. Teach formal letter-writing skills

The course coordinators were Ms. Jyoti Kiran Pisipati, Assistant Professor in English, and Ms. Shruti Kamat Dalal, Assistant Professor in Law. The resource persons for the week-long course were Ms. Jyoti Kiran Pisipati, Assistant Professor in English and Ms. Trisha Almeida, Counsellor, V M Salgaocar College of Law.

At the end of the course, learners were evaluated on spoken and written English and awarded certificates.
