Mr. Alberto fernandes

                 Shri Alberto Fernandes  joined this Institute on 2^nd February, 2026 and holds a Post Graduate degree in  Public Administration and Diploma in Computer Application.He joined the Government of Goa in 1976 and worked for a decade in the Directorate of Education,  Rural Development Agency (now District Rural Development Agency), Directorate of Technical Education and Directorate of Accounts  before moving to the Goa University  in 1986.   He served there for more than   three decades  having had the distinction of working  in all the Sections of the University administration  as  Assistant Registrar. Through training programmes that he conducted, he has trained the employees in File Register and Records Management and also provided  them with deep insights into the gamut of Noting and Drafting.  He has acquired an enviable reputation based on his probity and efficiency.

                He has compiled/edited i)Manual on File Register and Records Management ii) Handbook on Noting and Drafting iii)Manual on Affiliation iv) Manual on Office Procedure, Noting, Drafting and Service Rules (uploaded on the Goa University  website-https://www.unigoa.ac.in/uploads/confg_docs/20220412.110437~GU_Manual.pdf).  He has also edited  a guide to a successful Government service and  Procedure Manual both of which are awaiting release.The Manuals edited by him and released by the Goa University especially the one that is  uploaded on the University website provide a comprehensive and handy reference for employees enabling them to work diligently and with  dedication  resulting  in   improving the efficiency of the University administration.

                His post retirement assignments are  i)Co-ordinating Officer, College of Theatre Arts, Kala Academy (academic year 2018-19) where he was instrumental in setting up  a new College of Theatre Art ii)  Consultant, Directorate of Student Placement and Alumni Relations, Goa University and iii)  Consultant,   Mushtifund Saunstha, Cujira, Bambolim helping them to set up a Digitial Technology College and  Secondary School (CBSC syllabus).

                 He also serves as a  resource person in Public Administration and a Master Trainer at the Goa Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (GIPARD),  Ela, Old Goa and a resource person at the Malaviya Mission Teachers Training Centre (MMTTC), Goa University.
